Neural Systems (USA)

National Science Foundation (NSF)

The Neural Systems Cluster from the National Science Foundation (NSF) supports mechanistic studies in neuroscience, from structure to function in natural context, that span multiple levels of analysis, from molecular and cellular to complex behavioral aspects of organisms. The Cluster encourages the use of comparative approaches, studies of organisms in their natural contexts, and the development of novel theoretical, computational, and transdisciplinary approaches to guide and instruct experimental design.

Applications are open to Institutions of Higher Education (IHEs) and non-profit, non-academic organizations based in the USA. Funding is provided over 3 to 5 years.

Program number: NSF 24-546

Applications are accepted at anytime.
