Abigail Person is professor of physiology and biophysics at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus. Her lab studies cerebellar contributions to motor control, focusing on how the circuit as a whole generates behaviorally relevant computations.

After earning a B.A. in biology and neuroscience at Oberlin College, Person completed her Ph.D. at the University of Washington in the lab of David Perkel. Afterward, she was a postdoctoral fellow at the National Institute of Biological Sciences in Beijing, China, studying under Minmin Luo, and then a postdoctoral fellow at Northwestern University, studying under Indira Raman. Imagining the ultimate systems neuroscience paper

A growing body of papers on systems neuroscience and on giant simulations of neural circuits involves data beyond the point that anyone can reasonably understand end to end. Looking ahead, “paper-bots” could solve that problem.
