The Andrea Patenaude IPOS Scholarship from the International Psycho-Oncology Society (IPOS) provides funding for a psycho-oncology professional from a Low and Middle Income Country (LMIC) to attend the IPOS Congress for continuing education and professional networking. The 27th Annual World Congress will take place in Barcelona, Spain, from 8 to 12 November 2026.
Applications are open to professionals employed by a hospital, healthcare facility, non-government organization, or university in countries listed by the World Bank as developing countries, and providing psychosocial care in an oncology setting or undertaking research in the field of psycho-oncology.
The scholarship includes:
- FREE 2026 World Congress Registration (IPOS will process registration of the winner) – value of up to $1,000 USD.
- Travel Reimbursement for up to $2,000 USD: this includes return economy-class airfare (winner is to book their own flight and submit for reimbursement within 30-days AFTER the congress)
- 5 Nights Accommodation (booked and paid for by IPOS) – value of up to $2,000 USD.
- A one-year IPOS membership (2026 OR 2027).
