The Award for Innovative Mindset (AIM) from the Friedreich’s Ataxia Research Alliance (FARA) supports the initial exploration of innovative, high-risk, high-gain, and potentially ground-breaking concepts in Friedreich’s ataxia (FA) research. The presentation of preliminary and/or published data is encouraged, but not required. Proposals should fall within FARA Research Priorities:
- Advancing understanding of neuroscience/systems
- Advancing understanding of cardiac disease in FA
- Advancing understanding of the molecular basis of FA
- Advancing drug discovery
- Facilitating the drug development process and translational research
- Advancing clinical research in FA
Applicants may be affiliated with public or private organizations in the USA and worldwide.
The award provides up to 100,000 USD for 1 year.
