Friedreich's Ataxia Research Alliance (FARA)

The Bronya J. Keats Research Collaboration Award from the Friedreich’s Ataxia Research Alliance (FARA) supports qualified investigators on research projects on Friedreich’s ataxia (FA), a genetic, progressive neuromuscular disease. Proposals should focus on FA research that relies on collaboration among investigators from at least two different institutions. Special consideration will be given to proposals that involve international collaborations and bring new scientists to the FA community. Applicants may be affiliated with public or private organizations in the USA and worldwide.

The grant provides up to 175,000 USD/year for 1 or 2 years.

The next letters of intent are due on February 15, 2026. Applications close on April 15, 2026.
