The Dementia Frontiers Fund by Alzheimer’s Research UK, supports bold, high-impact research addressing urgent challenges in dementia. This funding aims to empower interdisciplinary teams to generate transformative insights that could change the lives of people affected by the condition. Projects should address one or more of the fund’s core research questions:
- Can we better predict and stage disease progression in dementia?
- What are the relative contributions of different brain changes to the development of dementia?
- Why are some high-risk populations resilient to dementia?
Seed funding is available up to 50,000 GBP. Selected teams may also qualify for major follow-on funding for an additional 3 years. The initial award period is 2 years.
EOI applications close on January 7, 2026, and full applications are due in June 2026.
