The Dementia Research Leader Fellowship by Alzheimer’s Society supports exceptional researchers who want to build on several successful years of research and are ready to begin an independent research career. Applications are accepted for research projects focusing in the dementia field.
The funding is provided for up to 5 years and it includes salary for the fellow, 25,000 GBP per annum for research costs and 1,000 GBP per annum towards career development and training. PhD studentship fees, stipend to fund one student (see PhD studentship cost) or equivalent funds towards research support staff salary can also be provided upon justification. Applicants must be eligible to work in the UK and the host institution must be in the UK.
The applications for the outline stage are due on March 27, 2026. The deadline for full proposal submission is July 24, 2026.
