The Distinguished Scientist Award from the Society of Behavioral Medicine (SBM) recognizes the career achievements of a behavior medicine scientist. Nominees must have achieved scholarly distinction (i.e., made a series of distinguished empirical contributions or contributed substantially to the development of new theories or methods). Nominators and nominees must be SBM members. Self-nominations are allowed.
The Award consists of 2,000 USD. Recipients are invited to give a master lecture at SBM’s annual meeting in Chicago, Illinois, on April 22-25, 2026.
Nominations are due November 7, 2025.
