International Brain Research Organization (IBRO)

The IBRO Collaborative Research Grant from the International Brain Research Organization (IBRO) supports international scientific collaboration and development of human resources within and between IBRO regions. The main goal of the award is to facilitate collaboration between a) two emerging research groups or b) one emerging and one established research group.

Applicants must have been principal investigators for up to seven years. Collaborations must begin in 2026 and must be completed within two years from the collaboration start date. Collaborations between two different IBRO regions are open to scientists from all IBRO regions (Asia-Pacific, Africa, Latin America, Pan-Europe, US/Canada). Collaborations within the same region are open only to scientists from Latin America.

Applicants may apply for up to 6,000 USD in funding for direct costs.
Applications are open between February 15 and March 15, 2026.
