The Julius Axelrod Prize from the Society for Neuroscience (SfN) is supported by the Eli Lilly and Company Foundation and honors a scientist with distinguished achievements in the broad field of neuropharmacology (or a related area) and their exemplary efforts in mentoring young scientists. Nominees may or may not be members of SfN; self-nominations are not allowed. Nomination of female researchers is highly encouraged. The Awardee receives 30,000 USD and financial support to attend the SfN annual meeting.
