The Junior faculty research grants from the Huo Family Foundation support new lecturers/assistant professors in leading focused research projects. The funding is aimed at the Effects of the Usage of Digital Technology on Brain Development, Social Behaviours and Mental Health in Children and Young People.
Applicants should be new lecturers/assistant professors at colleges, universities and research institutes in the UK or the USA. Applicants must have started their junior faculty position in January 2023 or later, i.e., at the time of award, be within two years of taking up their permanent/tenure-track position. Applicants must hold a PhD or equivalent degree in a relevant field, which may include but is not limited to neuroscience, psychology, psychiatry, epidemiology, public health, computer science, social science, and economics.
The award provides up to 170,000 GBP per year over 3 years.
