The Race Against Dementia Teams Award 2025-26 funded by Rosetrees Trust and Race Against Dementia supports bold, high-impact dementia research by enabling outstanding UK research leaders to build strong, high-performing teams. The funders aim to accelerate breakthroughs through long-term support, mentoring and performance training inspired by Formula 1. Projects may focus on:
- Development of new diagnostic tests
- Strategies for prevention
- Understanding disease mechanisms
- Identification and evaluation of potential new treatments
The award offers up to 750,000 GBP over 5 years, supporting directly incurred research costs, essential equipment, staff training, travel for dissemination, and open-access publication fees during the grant period.
Preliminary submissions are due on February 2, 2026. Full applications close in May, 2026.
