The Research Grants from the Alzheimer Forschung Initiative eV (AFI) support innovative and promising projects researching Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias in Germany. Applications are open to projects that significantly advance the understanding of Alzheimer’s disease or related dementias, specifically in the areas of basic research, diagnostics, prevention, and therapy. Applicants must hold a PhD or MD and be affiliated with a German public university or research institution.
The grant provides up to 200,000 EUR over 3 years.
Submissions of Letters of Intent open on January 2, 2026, and are due January 30, 2026.
