The Science Educator Award from the Society for Neuroscience (SfN) honors up to two neuroscientists who have made significant contributions to educating the public about neuroscience: one for full-time outreach activities and the other for researchers devoting part of their time to science outreach. Nominees may or may not be members of SfN; self-nominations are not allowed. The Awardee receives a 5000 USD honorarium, an opportunity to write a feature commentary on science education in eNeuro, and support to attend the SfN annual meeting.
This is an annual award, and the next nomination opens on March 23 and closes on May 7, 2026.
