The Shanahan Foundation Fellowship at the Interface of Data and Neuroscience, provided by the Shanahan Family Foundation and the Allen Institute, supports promising young scientists from diverse fields as they work alongside neuroscientists at the Allen Institute and the University of Washington. The goal of the fellowship is to provide opportunities in neuroscience to non-traditional applicants who can bring new perspectives into the field. The three-year fellowship provides Ph.D.s from data science, computer science, physics, mathematics, and allied fields with the guidance to pursue their own research interests with our data, with help from mentors.
Applicant must be a graduate student pursuing an MD, Ph.D., or equivalent degree, or a postdoctoral fellow with no more than 7 years past completion of their first doctoral degree.
Applicant must be affiliated with the laboratory of a senior researcher who is the applicant’s research sponsor. There are no citizenship requirements. The Fellowship provides a starting salary of $106,780 USD annually, immigration support, and a benefits package over 3 years.
Letters of intent are due December 1, 2025.
