The 40th Overseas Research Grant from the Brain Science Foundation supports the training of young researchers by funding travel abroad to attend international conferences and symposia or to carry out short-term joint research.
Applications are open to young researchers, including undergraduate students; undergraduates must have prior training experience in a university or external laboratory by the time they apply.
The foundation awards up to 300,000 JPY per grant to a small number of recipients, primarily to cover round-trip airfare. Short-term joint research projects may last up to six months.
