Brain Canada Foundation and organizing partners invite applications for the Amazing Brain Science Talks, a public science communication event designed to share key findings from research and lived/living experience in brain health. Selected researchers will deliver a 10–15 minute TED-style talk to a public audience in Ottawa on a topic related to their own brain-health-based research.
The application process is open to applicants who are currently, or have previously been, funded by Brain Canada, including as a non-principal team member, and/or are currently affiliated with the Brain-Heart Interconnectome, the uOttawa Brain and Mind Research Institute, or The Royal. Applicants must be independent researchers conducting research at, and affiliated with, an eligible Canadian academic institution; postdoctoral fellows, research associates, and other trainees are not eligible.
No fixed monetary award is specified. Reasonable travel and accommodation expenses for selected speakers will be covered, including transportation to and from Ottawa, hotel accommodation for up to three nights, transportation to and from the venue, and meals. The main event takes place on November 14, 2026, with mandatory onsite rehearsal on November 13, 2026.
