The 2026 Atkinson Prize in Psychological and Cognitive Sciences from the U.S. National Academy of Sciences recognizes significant advances in the psychological and cognitive sciences with important implications for formal and systematic theory in these fields in the USA and worldwide. Preference is given to scientists who may be earlier in their careers or those whose work has not been recognized by other prizes or awards. NAS membership is not required to nominate or to be nominated. Self-nominations are not accepted. Nominators may not nominate individuals from their home institution(s). Two prizes of 100,000 USD are presented.
