The Japan Neuroscience Society (JNS) Young Investigator Award aims to encourage promising young researchers with notable research achievements in the field of neuroscience.
The application is open to Regular Members, Overseas Regular Members, Junior Members, or Overseas Junior Members of the Japan Neuroscience Society with continuous membership of three years or longer. Candidates must have had no more than 10 years have passed since their doctoral degree was awarded. As a general rule, five or fewer recipients are selected each year through an open call for applications, and each candidate must submit a review paper related to the applied research theme to “Neuroscience Research” (NSR) before the deadline. It does not matter whether the relevant research was carried out in or outside of Japan.
Recipients are presented with a diploma of merit and a supplementary prize of 100,000 JPY per winner at the Society’s Annual Meeting.
This is an annual award. Applications open on September 1 and close on October 1, 2026.
