The ANR-DFG French-German Collaboration for Joint Projects in Natural, Life and Engineering Sciences is funded by the Agence nationale de la recherche (ANR) and the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG). The program supports collaborative projects in the natural, life and engineering sciences (excluding space technology, nuclear research and defence). Particular emphasis is placed on intensive Franco-German cooperation and the specific scientific added value that can be achieved by combining nationally influenced scientific traditions.
Applicants must apply to each national funding organization. Postdoctoral researchers are also eligible. The funding provides research support for up to 3 years.
The ANR is unilaterally requesting a pre-registration before October 13, 2026. Applications close in March 2027. If this is the first time submitting a proposal to the DFG, please register in the elan portal.
