The Brain Health Solutions Program – Innovation Grants from the Saskatchewan Health Research Foundation (SHRF) is supported by the Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital Foundation (JPCHF). This call supports research teams in Canada working on Pediatric Brain Health, and proposals should address:

  • Pediatric conditions affecting children’s brain, spinal cord, and nervous system.
  • Impacts of other conditions on brain health and neurodevelopment in children.
  • Child, youth and maternal mental health.
  • Providing culturally grounded care and supports for Indigenous children, parents and communities.

The research team must include at least three Applicants/Investigators who are based in Saskatchewan and fulfill the following requirements:

  • One Principal Applicant who is an independent researcher, affiliated with a Saskatchewan institution, and who resides in Saskatchewan for the entire funding period.
  • A second researcher who brings a different disciplinary perspective.
  • A knowledge-user who brings perspectives on the practical applications of knowledge generated through the proposed research.

The funding provides up to 50,000 CAD for 1 year.

Eligibility Check Submission Cut-off is accepted on a rolling basis until September 18, 2025. Full Applications close November 13, 2025. Applicants are advised to check with their institution for internal deadlines.
