The BRAIN Initiative: Next-Generation Devices for Recording and Modulation in the Human Central Nervous System (UG3/UH3 Clinical Trial Optional) funding from the National Institutes of Health (NIH) supports translational activities and small clinical studies for recording and/or stimulating devices to treat central nervous system disorders and better understand the human brain. Activities supported in this program include regulatory activities to obtain an Investigational Device Exemption (IDE) for a Significant Risk (SR) study, as well as a subsequent small clinical study. Applications are open to researchers in the USA.
The award provides up to 2 million USD (plus indirect costs) for up to 5 years.
