The Call for Applications for Scholarships from the Fondazione Dompé supports deserving students and researchers pursuing a master’s degree, a doctoral degree (PhD), or a research fellowship in neuroscience and/or neurobiology at U.S. universities. The program aims to foster their human and professional growth, promote social mobility, and remove barriers to university education for less advantaged social groups, and is promoted in collaboration with the Embassy of Italy in Washington D.C.
Applications are open to individuals enrolled in a one-year or two-year master’s degree or a PhD, or undertaking a research fellowship, at a U.S. university in the fields of neuroscience and/or neurobiology, possibly in partnership with U.S. research centers or agencies. For the academic year 2026/2027, the applicant’s household 2026 net income must not exceed 120,000 USD, and applicants must not have any working or collaborative relationship with Dompé farmaceutici s.p.a. or Fondazione Dompé ETS. Recipients must hold an Italian tax identification number at the time of disbursement.
The foundation has allocated a total of 1,590,000 USD for 24 scholarships of 25,000 USD per year each. Master’s degrees and research fellowships are supported for a maximum of 2 years, and doctoral degrees for a maximum of 3 years.
