CanNRT-Brain Canada Fellowship (neurodevelopment | Canada)

Brain Canada Foundation

The CanNRT-Brain Canada Fellowship from the Brain Canada Foundation, in partnership with the Canadian Neurodevelopmental Research Training Platform (CanNRT), supports outstanding graduate students, postdoctoral fellows, and clinical fellows conducting research on neurodevelopment and associated conditions.

Fellows join a national learning community that connects research, practice, policy, and lived experience, with mentorship, leadership development, and an annual Summer School in Montreal.

Applications are open to Canadian and international master’s and doctoral students, postdoctoral researchers, and clinical fellows enrolled at a Canadian university when the Fellowship begins.

Applicants must conduct research relevant to neurodevelopment and associated conditions, be CanNRT members, and participate in CanNRT activities; multidisciplinary, innovative, and translational research is encouraged. Canadian citizenship or permanent residency is not required.

Fellows receive a one-time entry award of 20,000 to 50,000 CAD, depending on career stage and held for one year, plus a Training Passport of up to 2,000 CAD per year for research and career development activities. CanNRT covers travel and accommodation for the two required Summer Schools. The program runs for up to two years.

Applications close on October 30, 2026.
