The Carl Ludwig Distinguished Lecture of the APS Neural Control & Autonomic Regulation Section, from the American Physiological Society (APS), recognizes recent achievements in developing and applying novel approaches that provide fundamental new insights into autonomic regulation.
This is not a career achievement award, but recognizes a recipient’s major recent research contribution that is particularly innovative and would generate interest in and advance both the NCAR Section and the broader field through its presentation.
The nominee must have made original and noteworthy contributions to the advancement of autonomic regulation in all aspects of the discipline. Nominations are open to NCAR members.
The award provides 1,000 USD plus up to 2,000 USD in travel expenses and reimbursement of the early registration fee for the American Physiology Summit. This is a one-time award tied to delivery of a 30-minute lecture.
