CogSci Mind Challenge (cognitive science | worldwide)

Cognitive Science Society

CogSci Mind Challenge is a science communication competition from the Cognitive Science Society that invites cognitive scientists to propose an original cognitive science question and a creative, accessible format to answer it for junior high, high school, and undergraduate students.

Projects should reflect the interdisciplinary nature of cognitive science, which includes fields such as psychology, neuroscience, linguistics, artificial intelligence, anthropology, education, and philosophy.

The application is open to individuals and teams who submit a one-page proposal of no more than 1000 words describing their cognitive science question, core idea, creative format, target audience approach, accuracy plan, and production plan.

Selected semifinalists receive 100 USD to support the creation of their final submission and will have 60 days to complete it. Three equal winners, chosen through student voting, will each receive a 500 USD prize.

Proposals close on August 26, 2026. Final submissions are due November 9, 2026.
