The Colombian-German Collaboration in Research is a joint call from the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) and Colombian universities under a Standing Open Procedure (SOP) to support research projects in any field.
Applications are open to researchers based in Germany and at Universidad Nacional de Colombia (UNAL), Universidad de los Andes, the Universidad de Antioquia, and the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana in Colombia. Proposals must show how working together adds value to the research and that each partner contributes substantially. Members of non-university institutions with permanent positions in Germany remain subject to the duty to cooperate with a partner at a German university. Proposals are submitted in parallel to the DFG through the Individual Research Grants Programme and to each university, and funding depends on positive assessment by the organizations.
The funding provides research support for up to 3 years.
