The Competence and service development grant from the Helsedirektoratet provides funding for relevant professional training in the care service in Norway. The aim is to reduce the lack of personnel and facilitate a sustainable care service. The target group is managers, employees, and people who can be recruited to work in the care service. For competence measures in the field of mental health and substance abuse, employees in other municipal and county agencies can also be the target group (e.g. NAV, child welfare services, kindergartens and schools).
Applications are open to Municipalities, County municipalities, inter-municipal companies, universities and colleges.
The amount of funding is proposal-dependent. The State Administrator is the manager of this grant scheme.
