The Edward M. Scolnick Prize in Neuroscience from the McGovern Institute recognizes outstanding advances in the field of neuroscience.
Candidates for the award must be nominated by individuals affiliated with universities, hospitals, medical schools, or research institutes, with a background in neuroscience. Self-nomination is not permitted.
The award provides 225,000 USD plus an inscribed gift. Winners will be announced early in 2027, and the prize ceremony, which includes a public lecture, will take place in the spring. A dinner for the recipient and invited guests follows the prize lecture.
