The EMBO Young Investigator Programme from the European Molecular Biology Organization (EMBO) supports new group leaders with networking and training activities. Applicants must have been a group leader for at least 1 year and not more than 4 years. Recipients must be working in an EMBC Member State, an EMBC Associate Member State, or in countries/territories covered by a co-operation agreement, including India, Singapore, Taiwan and Chile (see full-list of countries). The Award provides 15,000 EUR + additional networking benefits, and may apply for additional small grants of up to 10,000 EUR/year.
For the application round, current PIs or Co-PIs of the following programmes of the Japan Science and Technology Agency (JST) are eligible to apply: ASPIRE, FOREST (in Japanese known as “創発的研究支援事業”), PRESTO (in Japanese known as “さきがけ”), ACT-X.
This is an annual award. The next application opens on February 1 and closes on April 1, 2026.
