ERA-NET NEURON: Joint Transnational Call for Proposals for Multinational and Translational Research Projects on Interdisciplinary Approaches to the Neuroscience of Pain (Germany)

The ERA-NET NEURON: Joint Transnational Call for Proposals for Multinational and Translational Research Projects on Interdisciplinary Approaches to the Neuroscience of Pain funding call from the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) is part of ERA-NET NEURON and supports transnational research projects on interdisciplinary approaches to the neuroscience of pain. Due to the psychosocial factors of pain as well as the variety of mechanisms involved in the development of chronic pain, including peripheral and central nervous system mechanisms, interdisciplinary research approaches are needed to develop a better understanding of chronic pain, to improve its management, and ultimately to alleviate pain for the people affected. Applications are open to researcher consortia from the following countries: Australia, Belgium, Croatia, France, Germany, Hungary, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Norway, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Switzerland, Taiwan, Turkey and the UK. The total number of consortium partners is up to 6, if including countries currently underrepresented in the program, i.e. Croatia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Romania, Slovakia, Taiwan and Turkey. Researchers from Germany are supported by the DFG in this call.

Funding is available for up to 3 years.
