The Fulbright Scholar Awards to the USA from the Fulbright Foreign Program US-UK Fulbright Commission support UK-based academics and other professionals to lecture and/or research in any discipline at any accredited US university, as part of the Fulbright Visiting Scholar programme.
Applications are open to UK citizens and candidates from British Overseas Territories who hold a PhD in a subject relevant to the award, or equivalent professional degrees or experience in the field. Dual US-UK citizens, US Green Card holders, and people resident in the US at the time of application are not eligible.
Grant periods typically last from 3 to 6 months, with some partner awards lasting up to an academic year. Awards generally offer monthly stipends, limited sickness and accident coverage, and logistical and visa support.
