The Grant program Treating Consequences of Brain Disorders from the Hersenstichting supports research partnerships on the brain and/or mental disorders. The first thematic subsidy round is focused on overstimulation. The aim is to develop diagnostics and/or interventions against overstimulation in brain and/or psychological disorders.

Applications are open to multidisciplinary national collaboration between researchers, experts by experience, healthcare professionals, and other stakeholders. The target group must be a formal co-applicant and substantively involved in all phases. The lead applicant must have a permanent appointment at a recognized Dutch research institution. The consortium must include at least one university/UMC, one university of applied sciences, one practice partner from different regions.

The award provides up to 1.5 million EUR per consortium (direct costs only). Co-financing of 20% is mandatory.

The deadline to register as the lead applicant is June 26, 2025. Consortium applications close September 8, 2025.
