The Joint NAM S&T Centre – JSS AHER, Mysuru, India Fellowship Programme is offered by the Centre for Science and Technology of the Non-Aligned and Other Developing Countries (NAM S&T Centre) and the JSS Academy of Higher Education & Research (JSS AHER), Mysuru, Karnataka, India.

The programme provides opportunities for scientists, researchers and academicians to affiliate with JSS AHER’s constituent institutes and carry out short-term research in Science, Technology, Engineering and Medicine, with preference given to sub-areas such as Environmental Science & Technology, Climate Change & Global Warming, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Drug Discovery and Molecular Simulation, Maternal and Child Health, Molecular Genetics, Preclinical Studies, Bioinformatics, Gut Microbiome Studies, Cancer Biology, Neurobiology, Protein Engineering, Analytical Chemistry, and Materials Science.

Applications are open to scientists and researchers from the Member Countries and S&T–Industry Network Members of the NAM S&T Centre, with only one Scholar per country/organization considered each year. Applicants must hold at least a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree or equivalent and be actively engaged in research and development in the identified subjects. Applicants should generally not exceed 40 years of age at the time of application, though younger scientists may be preferred where qualifications are equal.

The fellowship provides accommodation and a pocket allowance of 250 USD per month in local currency, along with free local transport between Bengaluru Airport and Mysuru, and covers international airfare. The maximum duration of the fellowship is six weeks. Up to five fellowships are awarded each year.
