The King’s PhD in Mental Health for Health Professionals, funded by the Wellcome Trust and King’s College London, supports healthcare professionals seeking to combine a clinical and academic career in mental health research. Three programmes of research will be available, representing emerging opportunities in mental health science:
- Translational Neuroscience
- Data science and digital technologies
- Society, policy and mental health
Applications are open to a wide range of registered health professions, including but not limited to doctors, nurses, midwives, psychologists, pharmacists and professions allied to healthcare.
The fellowship offers full home (UK) fees, and a salary matched to the applicant’s clinical salary for three years (full-time study, pro rata for part-time study) as well as funding for research costs, training and travel. There may be a limited number of international fee waivers available for international applicants.
