The KLI Postdoctoral Resident Fellowship is offered by the Konrad Lorenz Institute (KLI) to support postdoctoral researchers pursuing theoretical, reflexive, and interdisciplinary projects within the life and cognitive sciences, history, philosophy, and social studies.
Applications are open to researchers who obtained their doctoral degree no more than eight years before the start of the fellowship. Fellows are hosted in residence at the KLI in Klosterneuburg, Austria, with a desk in the institute’s facilities, and receive a travel allowance and library allowance in addition to their stipend.
The fellowship provides a gross stipend of 3,850 EUR per month for a duration of up to three years, subject to yearly evaluation by the KLI Board.
Applications are accepted on a rolling basis. The Board of Directors meets 3 to 4 times a year and applicants should allow 4 to 6 months for processing.
