The KLI Senior Resident Fellowship is offered by the Konrad Lorenz Institute (KLI) to support accomplished researchers pursuing theoretical, reflexive, and interdisciplinary projects within the life and cognitive sciences, history, philosophy, and social studies.

Applications are open to accomplished researchers who obtained their doctoral degree between eight and fifteen years before the start of the fellowship. Fellows are hosted in residence at the KLI in Klosterneuburg, Austria, with a desk in the institute’s facilities, and receive a travel allowance and library allowance in addition to their stipend.

The fellowship provides a gross senior stipend of 4,200 EUR per month plus travel expenses, for a duration of up to three years, subject to yearly evaluation by the KLI Board.

Applications are accepted on a rolling basis. The Board of Directors meets 3 to 4 times a year and applicants should allow 4 to 6 months for processing.
