The Neural Control & Autonomic Regulation (NCAR) Section Linda F. Hayward Achievement Award, from the American Physiological Society (APS), is presented by the NCAR Section to honor a world-renowned, distinguished mid-career physiologist who advocates for and mentors women in science, recognizing promising research in physiology regulated by the autonomic nervous system and related diseases.

The application is open to APS members holding a faculty position of associate professor or higher, with proven innovative achievements and original, noteworthy contributions to the advancement of autonomic regulation, including research impact, participation in APS or related societies, dissemination of knowledge, and mentoring of investigators within the autonomic community. Prior recipients are not eligible for renomination.

The award provides 500 USD, plus reimbursement of the early registration fee to the American Physiology Summit.
