The Next Generation Research Grant in Peripheral Neuropathy is offered by the Foundation for Peripheral Neuropathy in collaboration with the American Brain Foundation, as part of the Next Generation Research Grants (NGRGs) program. The award supports early career investigators conducting clinical or preclinical research into the mechanisms, diagnosis, or treatment of peripheral neuropathy, reflecting ABF’s “Cure One, Cure Many” philosophy that progress in one disease area can accelerate discovery across many others.
The application process is open to research investigators holding an MD, PhD, or equivalent terminal-level clinical or research degree, who completed their clinical residency or PhD on or after July 1, 2022. Applicants at accredited US and international institutions may apply, with no citizenship requirement, provided they dedicate at least 50% of their time to protected research.
This award provides 75,000 USD per year for 2 years, for a total of 150,000 USD, covering salary and research-related expenses. Indirect costs are not supported under this grant.
Applications close on October 8, 2026.
