The NIH New Approach Methodologies (NAMs) and Women’s Health fellowship is funded by the National Institutes of Health (NIH) Office of Research on Women’s Health (ORWH). This fellowship supports postdoctoral fellows in a STEM learning experience focused on developing advanced technical proficiency in applying New Approach Methodologies (NAMs) to scientific questions related to women’s health and sex differences research. Fellows are expected to be fully engaged either in-person or in a hybrid arrangement at the NIH campus in Bethesda, MD.
Applicants must be US citizens or permanent residents, or foreign nationals. Applicants must hold a doctoral degree in a relevant field, received within the last five years, and demonstrate an interest in women’s health research. Current graduate students nearing degree completion may also apply, provided their degree is awarded before the appointment begins.
The fellowship provides an annual stipend of 88,000 USD. The appointment is initially for one year and may be renewed annually for up to four additional years.
