The S. Weir Mitchell Resident-Fellow Research Award, presented by the American Academy of Neurology (AAN) and endowed by the former American Academy of Neurology Alliance, aims to encourage research in neuroscience by physicians in neurology training programs.
Applicants should be residents or fellows with less than 24 months from the completion of their neurology residency training at the time of submission. Applicants must submit an abstract to the 2025 Annual Meeting. Nominee does not need to be an active AAN member.
There will be two recipients for this award. The award provides:
- Medallion and $1,000 prize
- Complimentary registration for the 2025 Annual Meeting
- Reimbursement for the 2025 Annual Meeting travel (coach airfare) and two nights housing
- $100 per diem per day for expenses (up to two days)
