The Support for Research Stays Abroad from the Barbara Wengeler Stiftung supports outstanding doctoral researchers based in Germany in research abroad. Applicants must have a consistently well-progressed degree in philosophy, neuroscience, or cognitive science; and be up to 30 years old at the end of the funding period (or 33 in well-justified cases). A letter of recommendation from a professor in one of the foundation’s designated research fields is mandatory. The letter must clearly and unequivocally confirm that the proposed research stay aligns with the foundation’s objectives. The funding provided is project dependent.
