The Susan S. Spencer, MD Next Generation Research Grant in Epilepsy from the American Brain Foundation, the American Epilepsy Society and the Epilepsy Foundation, supports clinicians who are fellows or new faculty and seeks to foster the development of clinical care providers interested in pursuing careers in patient-oriented research.
Applications must meet all the following eligibility requirements:
- Applicants must be clinician-investigators with an MD, PhD, or equivalent terminal-level clinical or research degree.
- Applicants must have completed a clinical residency or a PhD within the past 4 years.
- Applicants at accredited USA and international institutions are eligible to apply. There is no citizenship requirement.
The funding provides 150,000 USD over two years, for direct costs only.
