The NCARnation Trainee Presentation Award recognizes research excellence by trainees of the Neural Control & Autonomic Regulation (NCAR) Section of the American Physiological Society (APS) in the areas of neural control, autonomic regulation and related physiological processes.
The application is open to APS members with primary affiliation in the NCAR Section who are undergraduate students, graduate students, or postdoctoral fellows and who submit a first-author abstract to a NCAR Foundational Science Session at the Summit.
Twelve finalists (six undergraduate or graduate students and six postdoctoral fellows) are selected by the NCAR Trainee Committee.
The award provides 250 USD, awarded annually to finalists as a one-time presentation award. Finalists are required to make an oral presentation at the American Physiology Summit to highlight their research.
Abstracts are accepted until December 12, 2026.
