The Theme Week ‘(Tackling) Loneliness’ funding from the Volkswagen Foundation provides funding and conference infrastructure support for scholars in Germany. The foundation aims at funding symposia that address and examine loneliness and social isolation, by bringing together scientists and non-scientific actors to discuss loneliness and develop concrete options for action. The symposia will take place June 11 – 13, 2025 at the conference center Herrenhausen Palace in Hannover, Germany. Applications are open to researchers in Germany in the humanities, cultural and social sciences, life, health and technical sciences (STS, medicine, psychology, neuroscience)
