The Theme Week “The (De)tabooing of Science and Research” funding from the Volkswagen Foundation invites proposals for symposia that explore the theme of “(De)tabooing of Science and Research”. The call is open to all academic disciplines. The Foundation will support events that examine and discuss the emergence, persistence, and dissolution of taboos in academic inquiry from different disciplinary perspectives. Applications are open to researchers in Germany.
The aim of the Foundation is to fund up to four symposia, which will be held on September 17–19, 2025 with a supporting program organised by the Foundation at the Xplanatorium Herrenhausen Palace, Hanover, Germany.
