Gravitation 2027 – Frontier research for consortia funding call from the Nederlandse Organisatie voor Wetenschappelijk Onderzoek (NWO) brings together researchers from one or more disciplines into consortia capable of positioning themselves at the global forefront of their research fields. This funding supports collaboration over the long term on innovative, world-class research that sustainably strengthens the Netherlands’ position in science.
Applications are open to the Executive Boards of universities based in the Kingdom of the Netherlands (including Aruba, Curaçao, and Sint Maarten), each of which may submit a maximum of four proposals. The consortium coordinator submits the proposal and, together with up to five other principal investigators, forms the consortium’s scientific leadership.
The total budget available is 159,250,000 EUR, and each project may request between 10,000,000 EUR and 22,750,000 EUR over a project duration of ten years. Funding may cover personnel costs, equipment, investments, and knowledge utilization.
Proposals must be submitted by March 30, 2027.
