The Awards for Rising Stars in ALS Research, in collaboration with the Canada Brain Research Fund (CBRF), Brain Canada Foundation, Linda Auger Morissette and Friends, Allan Kliger/Victory’s Kitchen Inc., and Naomi Azrieli, Francois Blanc and Family, aim to support full-time graduate students (M.Sc., Ph.D.), postdoctoral fellows, and medical residents involved in amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) research within Canadian institutions.
This category comprises three distinct awards:
- Pierre Auger Morissette Capacity-Building Award in ALS Research, supported by Linda Auger Morissette and Friends.
- Rising Star Award in ALS Research, dedicated to the memory of Madeleine Blanc, with support from Naomi Azrieli, Francois Blanc and Family.
- Oliver Goy Rising Star Award in ALS Research, supported by Allan Kliger.
Each award offers a grant of up to 10,000 CAD for a one-year period and is not renewable. The application deadline is May 30, 2024.
