FENS and IBRO-PERC Support for Organising Courses in 2026 (neuroscience | Europe)

Federation of European Neuroscience Societies (FENS)

The FENS and IBRO-PERC Support for Organising Courses in 2026 is funded by the Federation of European Neuroscience Societies (FENS) and the International Brain Research Organization (IBRO) Pan-Europe Regional Committee (PERC). This call supports the organisation of in-person short courses taking place in 2026, within the framework of the FENS Schools Network (formerly titled Network of European Neuroscience Schools (NENS). The funding supports schools that intend or have already scheduled a short course for 2026 that:

  • is taught in English
  • is focused on a main topic that is directly related to neuroscience
  • has a duration of a minimum of 4 1/2 days and takes place in the period of March 1 to December 31, 2026
  • provides a certificate of participation to the attendees at the end of the course
  • has as an audience MSc and/or PhD neuroscience students
  • is accredited with ECTS points according to the Bologna guideline

The funding enables up to 5 students (i.e., MSc or PhD students currently studying in Europe, but not in the country where the course is organized or where the NENS school has its seat) to participate in the in-person courses, supported by FENS and IBRO-PERC.

For every accepted travel grant awardee, the school receives up to 750 EUR, with the amount determined by what the school provides to the students. Specifically:

  • 250 Euro: nothing is provided
  • 500 Euro: accommodation is provided
  • 750 Euro: accommodation and food are provided.

The students receive travel grants of up to 750 EUR, with the sum determined by the physical distance from the student to the course.

Applications close January 30, 2026.
