The Funding Opportunity for Dutch-German Basic Research Projects in Fields of the Sciences (NWO Domain Science – DFG) from the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) and the Dutch Research Council (NWO) supports research projects conducted jointly by a team from the Netherlands and Germany. Applications are open to researchers who work in Germany or at a German research institution abroad and have completed their PhD training.
Funding is provided for projects of 36 months. The amount of funding is project-dependent. There are no separate funds available for this joint initiative. The opportunities follow the general funding lines and budgets of NWO and DFG.
Proposals can be submitted at any time during the three-year pilot phase, that is from August 6, 2024, until July 30, 2027.
